Lake Maggiore: where nature and man have given their best!

Lake Maggiore, the second largest Italian lake, lives today, as in the past, from an elite tourism always attentive to the quality of its accommodation facilities and fascinated by its natural, artistic and historic beauties.

The Borromean Islands are the main attraction in a charming setting of azure waters and snowy peaks; Stresa, with its luxury hotels and international events, gives prestige and attracts high society like at the time it once attracted aristocracy.

Arona has the supremacy for nightlife and shopping in the "Ruga" or the magnificent Piazza del Popolo rich in original shops, galleries, little restaurants and trendy bars, always with an enchanted eye to the lake and the Rocca d'Angera or San Carlone.

Camping Eden located 2 Km south of Arona is an excellent starting point for all the excursions and is close to all kinds of entertainment: discos, multiplex cinema, bowling alley, shopping centres, etc.

The offer of leisure activities is almost unlimited and open to people with all kinds of tastes: you can visit the lake with comfortable boats of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore, take a walk on foot to the Colossus of San Carlo to admire the breathtaking view from up there, go hiking in the Lagoni park to discover its ponds, go cycling on the beautiful path along the banks of the Ticino River and then the Naviglio canal which reaches right down to Milan or venture up to the summit of the Mottarone mountain to enjoy the view of no less than 7 lakes and on the way down stop at one of the typical places offering our local snacks and refreshments.

The proximity to Milan (56 km), easily reachable in 45 min. by motorway or 60 min. by train, and the airport of Malpensa (26 km) make Camping Eden and the southern part of the lake an ideal holiday destination, even for the weekend.
